Meditation is under research to define its possible health (psychological, neurological, and cardiovascular) and other effects.

No apps, no noise, no guidance. Sit in a comfortable position first thing in the morning, back upright, but ok to use cushions etc.. One hour at a time, no less. Just surrender to and accept whatever happens. No energy for and no energy against. Resist and reject nothing.

My Morning Routine: 1. Get out of bed in 10 min or less 2. Immediately work out while listening to audio book 3. Meditate 4. Thinkitate 5. Read Books 6. Cold-ass shower 7. Start executing against Important Things List 8. When 16 hour fast is up, eat

About seven years ago, I started experimenting with meditation. I would listen to CDs and lie down, things like that. I tried out a couple of different groups. I tried doing it on my own. But really, it all started to come together about three years ago. I really consider that my mindfulness practice began at that time, when I found my community at InsightLA. I’ve been so inspired to find a diverse group of fellow meditators to learn together with, and a lovely place to go sit that has a regular schedule of sessions. It helps to have the support.

I deal with stress by… ... meditating. But I’m not very good at it. I can’t seem to shut my brain off, or I just fall asleep. Instead, I find that having a lovely bath is really relaxing.

During this time of quarantine I really feel like making homemade bread 🍞 ... hanging my clothes outside to dry .... not being on my phone so much … spending more time meditating and praying …. and really finding my inner grace !!! Going back to the old traditions and understanding life has way more meaning …

Do you focus on your breath? Do you focus on something else? Jon Favreau: Yeah, I can do that. That TM, or breath, or I try different things. But now, honestly, it’s like I don’t even – it’s more of like an exercise now. Like I know how to get to – I think it might be a brain wave pattern. I don’t know. But it’s a state of mind that I can hit without real tricks. I kind of just need to – it takes me about five or six minutes, and I could get there.
