Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Intrepid detective Benoit Blanc finds himself at a lavish private estate on a Greek island, but how and why he comes to be there is only the first of many puzzles. Blanc soon meets a distinctly disparate group of friends gathering at the invitation of billionaire Miles Bron for their yearly reunion. As in all the best murder mysteries, each person harbors their own secrets, lies and motivations. And when someone turns up dead, everyone is a suspect.

Knives Out Spoiler alert: You can guess the bad guy 7 min into Glass Onion. I love how the series breaks conventions, but the genre still needs something I didn’t see coming. Plus virtually every character felt like a villain. Was I supposed to cheer at the end?

Queensrÿche: Operation Livecrime

Queensryche's massively popular concept album "Operation: Mindcrime" -- which tells the story of a junkie hit man -- comes to life in this rousing theatrical performance from 1991. Singer Geoff Tate is in fine voice as the progressive hard rockers rip through "I Remember Now," "Anarchy-X," "Speak," "Spreading the Disease," "The Mission," "Suite Sister Mary," "The Needle Lies" and more. Also included is an interview with Tate.

They actually did an Operation: LiveCrime "movie" that came out on VHS. Don't know if it ever made it to DVD.

To me, the Matrix is the perfect metaphor for the human experience. The movie is about belief - belief in one's self. Once you have that, you can do anything (that doesn't violate the laws of physics.

This is one of my favorite speeches in all of cinema. It so captures the thrilling essence of skill acquisition. Whatever problem you plan to solve, make sure you’re so fucking good at it that you can give Liam’s speech with a straight fucking face.
