But the most memorable was the night we went to Arles. It was nearly 11pm when I attempted this drawing of the famous cafe that Vincent Van Gogh painted nearly 130 years ago, titled Cafe Terrace at Night. .. .. It was at this moment that an image was burned in my mind. I could have visited Arles a thousand times, but without drawing it I would have never seen the beauty that Van Gogh saw on that cobble stoned street so long ago.
