Dulce de leche (doce de leite ) is a confection from Latin America prepared by slowly heating sweetened milk (most commonly cow milk) to create a substance that derives its flavor from the Maillard reaction, also changing color. Dulce de leche is Spanish for "Candy [made] of milk". Dulce de Leche is known as "manjar de leche" or just "manjar". Technically, in Puerto Rican households, the term dulce de leche means candy of milk.

Favourite dish? “I would always say ‘asado’ (Argentinian meat barbecue), Milanese or pasta. I like simple food (…) Also, a little bit of chocolate, ‘dulce de leche’ and ice cream. Anything sweet. I try not to eat too much but I do like it.”
