While at the Vatican 🇻🇦, we were privileged to enjoy a tour of The Sistine Chapel. In addition to being one of the greatest art treasures of all-time and one of the most celebrated masterpieces in the world, it is also the place where new popes are elected. The Sistine Chapel has the special chimney in the roof that famously broadcasts the papal conclave’s results, indicating to the outside world (with white smoke) when they have reached a decision. This is where Pope @franciscus, like all popes since 1492, was voted into service.

The Chapel is the highly-anticipated last stop finale on the Vatican Museum tour and it never disappoints.
