Everything Inside

This month for @reesesbookclub we are reading Everything Inside by #EdwidgeDanticat. It’s a collection of eight beautiful stories shaped by different women’s experience with love and loss. I chose this book as our August book pick because I was so moved by the resilience and strength that these women exemplified. It’s such an empowering read that taught me a lot about Haitian culture.

The Henna Artist

I am so excited to share the news that #TheHennaArtist by @thealkajoshi is our May book pick! 📚This vivid story is so rich and complex... reading about Lakshmi's journey from escaping an abusive marriage to becoming one of the most sought-after henna artists in Jaipur captivated me from the first chapter to the final page. Follow along with me at Reese's Book Club and let's read together!✨

The Guest List

Elevating women’s stories is at the core of @ReesesBookClub. I love how this community champions the narrative for women and we are just getting started. Unity and understanding through the lens of storytelling is how we will continue these meaningful conversations. So, for the first time, I’ve selected two books for us to read this month: Austin Channing Brown’s “I’m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness” and Lucy Foley’s “The Guest List.” We will read these two books simultaneously over the course of June and July. I look forward to reading, listening and learning with you all. ⠀
