The Machine

watched @greenlandmovie tonight, and it freaked me the fuck out. Maybe it was the 11 months of COVID-19 tension, and I’m sure the last week of Texas freeze probably ramped it up for me as well, but this movie is gonna stay with me for a while.
Sort of like how we used to think about pandemics. I think this movie just changed that for me.

I rewatched Avatar for the first time in years today. I forgot how much I enjoyed that movie. I remember when the movie came out some people were suffering from what they were calling “Avatar depression”. Depression caused by the fact that real life sucked compared to how these bad ass blue people were living on Pandora. I can’t remember another movie having that effect on people, and after watching it again I remember why.

Road House
The Double Deuce is the meanest, loudest and rowdiest bar south of the Mason-Dixon Line, and Dalton has been hired to clean it up. He might not look like much, but the Ph.D.-educated bouncer proves he's more than capable -- busting the heads of troublemakers and turning the roadhouse into a jumping hot-spot.
