I turned down the original Godfather because I thought it should’ve been played by an Italian. I both do and don’t regret that decision, but I know it was right. Al Pacino was the perfect actor for it and the picture’s better because of him.

In what might be the worst wake-up scenario in film history, producer Jack Woltz regains consciousness only to realize he’s been joined in bed by the severed head of one of his prize horses. The scene is even more jarring because of the beautiful dawn light and soft sounds of crickets as the camera takes us inside Woltz’s mansion. It’s a reminder there are worse things to wake up to than a jarring iPhone alarm.

I really have two favorite movies of all time definitely the Godfather one and two I'm obsessed with them both not just because of the story line and the actors, but also the settings like I love the sets for both movies they're really luxurious and gorgeous .

And then The Godfather, I think, when you talk about action movies, the combined story with action. And again, you know, really well fleshed out characters and all that. I was dismayed at how many twenty-year-olds have never seen Godfather, Cuckoo’s Nest, All the President’s Men—these films that are in the Bible to me. And they may not even get to see them. I’ve always believed every good film finds its eyes, inevitably. But there’s a shift in attention span.
