Kevin Feige has said that the post-credits scene that inspired him to put one at the end of every movie in the MCU was the one in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Matthew Broderick’s title character walks out in his bathrobe and says to the camera, “You’re still here? It’s over. Go home.” So, it was a perfect gag when, following the end credits of Deadpool’s first solo outing, he did exactly the same thing. He emerged from the same bedroom into the same hallway and wore the same bathrobe over his superhero costume and uttered the same words to the audience. And he still found time for a Deadpool 2 tease, as he promised an appearance by Cable in the sequel.

At the beginning of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Ferris tries to get his friend Cameron, who is sick in bed, to come over. Cameron refuses, but after they hang up, he sings this little song to himself in bed, like a chant or a mantra: “When Cameron was in Egypt’s land … let my Cameron go.” Having a morning ritual, before we grab our phones and start our day, is a great habit. (I do a few minutes of breathing.) And it works for Cameron: he rallies, and winds up helping Ferris Bueller have a legendary day off.

I think that, as far as comedies go, I can watch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off so many times, and that’s one movie I can watch over and over and over again, and just absolutely never get sick of. I can drop in at anytime — I could watch the whole movie. It’s one of my favorites.

Now that I think of it, I can compare my siblings to Ferris Bueller, and both will be the same. (But Ferris Bueller's life would be better!)😁

I love 80s movies, I literally do. My favorite 80s movie, Oh my God, I have a bunch. The Breakfast Club, Coming to America, Weird Science, Ferris Bueller's was an 80s right? Friday 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, those things were in the 80s.
