I loved The Big Short because it took a great approach to explaining the financial crisis to even someone who knew nothing about it. An all-star cast got together, and the movie was just done fantastically.

The Big Short is a great movie! It's witty, informative, and entertaining. Even if you don't know anything about the housing market crash or financial lingo, you'll enjoy watching this film. The acting is superb and the story is fascinating. I highly recommend it!

The subprime mortgage issue triggered the credit crisis, which in turn caused the Great Recession. And yet, it was so complicated that I would not be surprised if quite a few storytellers had despaired of their ability to elucidate it, but The Big Short did it so brilliantly and made it accessible and understandable, and in the process, inspired demands for reform. I thought it was extremely well done.
