This film shows what was happening at the crash of 2008 by presenting the work days of some financial analysts — such as legendary Michael Burry —, that saw that "low-quality" mortgages flooded the banks, when recession caused living expenses to surge, people suddenly couldn't afford pay their mortgages, and that basically forced some the biggest banks to default. My personal biggest takeaway from the film is: always look at the bigger picture. The info, which these small group of analysts discovered, wasn't seen by the best analysts of top american banks, which proves the statement that the more you know, the more powerful you are, so always search for additional data in your analysis, because it gives you an edge over everybody, and in our competitive world it is truly crucial for success.
