French Exit

“My plan was to die before the money ran out,” says 60-year-old penniless Manhattan socialite Frances Price, but things didn’t go as planned. Her husband Franklin has been dead for 12 years and with his vast inheritance gone, she cashes in the last of her possessions and resolves to live out her twilight days anonymously in a borrowed apartment in Paris, accompanied by her directionless son Malcolm and a cat named Small Frank—who may or may not embody the spirit of Frances’s dead husband.

Movie French Exit is a great movie that everyone should watch. It is a review of the life of a woman who married a wealthy man and then had an affair with his son. When her husband died, she inherited all of his money and decided to move to Paris. While there, she met a man who was also living off of an inheritance and they became friends. The two main characters are both very selfish and arrogant, but the movie does a great job of showing how their lives changed once they met each other. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone looking for something different from the usual Hollywood fare.
