Shortest Way Home: One Mayor's Challenge and a Model for America's Future
Check out Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s fascinating book - an honest look inside the mind of a thoughtful politician (apparently they do still exist). Chapter 13 is particularly revealing with regard to both the need for a candidate who possesses the capacity to balance pragmatism and compassion, as well as the up-close-and-personal effects that the Trump administration’s tribal immigration philosophy has had on hard-working communities of both Democrats and Republicans. And if you don’t want to trouble your brain with heavy issues, there’s also a chapter on the administrative intricacies of sewage treatment.
