I’ve probably watched Heat and Goodfellas dozens of times each so to jump forward to 2019 and see Al Pacino and De Niro try to portray themselves so young was just difficult. Either way, I’m glad to have seen them live out one last epic crime film with Joe Pesci and Scorsese.

The Irishman was an incredible film that I truly loved to the very core but the choice to make Robert De Niro’s eyes crystal blue was a mistake. That paired with the de-aging had me distracted the entire time. My brain was forced to try to spot the flaws in his face throughout.
