Which is your favourite city, and why? Austin. My friendship with [writer and director] Richard Linklater started there, and it's where we've made some of the best movies of my life. It's kind of a magical city because it has all the greatness of Texas without the small-mindedness that can sometimes accompany it. And it's also a rock'n'roll capital. If you're serious about rock'n'roll, you gotta go to Austin.
