I also love a Levain cookie — any variety. They're so big, I feel like you're supposed to eat them in several increments, but I always eat them in one.
Coffee
Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans, the seeds of berries from certain flowering plants in the Coffea genus. From the coffee fruit, the seeds are separated to produce a stable, raw product: unroasted green coffee.

Are you a coffee drinker? I love coffee, but I have to make sure I don't have more than one cup a day because I'm already a little hyper.
Mexican Turkey Stew
While usually an ingredient in moles, roasted pumpkinseed kernels add another layer of nutty flavor to this posole-style broth. Look for them in specialty markets and health-food stores. Substitute ancho chile powder if guajillo is unavailable.

Everyone has a go-to dish. What’s yours? Mexican turkey stew. It's turkey, salsa, and hominy. You put it in the slow cooker for six hours and it makes the person cooking it look like she knows what she's doing—even when that isn't necessarily the case.

What do you miss from Missouri, where you grew up? There’s this delicacy called toasted ravioli. It's basically just deep-fried. We didn't have it often when I was growing up, but I'd occasionally see it at a special event. It's so good.
