When asked his favorite superhero, Washington said, “I always dug Thor in the comic books.”

Washington spoke about how he relates to the late James Cagney’s attitude about acting in his book, Cagney by Cagney. Washington said, “He talked about, you know, it’s his job. He’s at the studio — you do your job… you shut your door; and you go get in your car, and go home… I don’t think I carry it around too much — I hope.”
