Two lost souls visiting Tokyo -- the young, neglected wife of a photographer and a washed-up movie star shooting a TV commercial -- find an odd solace and pensive freedom to be real in each other's company, away from their lives in America.

There is something so magical about watching these two lost souls, who yearn for meaning, purpose and connection, form a bond together. Sophia Coppola has a masterful way of making a film aesthetically pleasing while gaining your sympathy for her characters. While feelings of loneliness and isolation permeate the film, watching Charlotte and Bob seek solace in each other felt whole. You could really feel Coppola's sensitivity to her characters and their world that she envisioned. She is exceedingly gifted and underrated as a filmmaker.

Sophia Coppola put us in a city where we are strangers , totally , they don't even speak our language , and then it limits this world and stops it between 2 empty , bored people , both see themselves in each others , Lost In Translation is a long date , is your way for fun , and your guidance to understand the people you should love .

Do you like Lost in Translation? Yes, of course. Sofia Coppola is one of my favorite directors. I just love that she allows for time in her movies.

I thought the movie is great. I really enjoyed the way it portrayed the feeling of disconnection and loneliness that can come with being in a foreign country. Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson did a great job of portraying the characters' isolation and emotional detachment from their surroundings.
