I really have two favorite movies of all time definitely the Godfather one and two I'm obsessed with them both not just because of the story line and the actors, but also the settings like I love the sets for both movies they're really luxurious and gorgeous .

The most impactful movies were Godfather II and Scarface. I loved the human complexity, and those movies are so well shot. Cinematic greatness. I really stopped going in my early twenties.

Godfather II. Just riveting. It’s just incredible. At that time, there weren’t usually sequels to films, and when they did Godfather II, when they said they were going to do Godfather II, I groaned.

Then I have, well, I have two movies: Godfather one and two. An incredibly absorbing story that unravels and captures a time that really existed in New York. It just draws you in and just keeps you.

Are there movies that have most inspired your music and lyrics? Sure. Mahogany with Diana Ross. Claudine with Diahann Carroll and James Earl Jones. The Color Purple. The Godfather Part II.

Well, I’ve always said Godfather 2. I think that movie’s pretty near perfect. It’s an impossible thing to answer, your five favorite movies, but I would put that one, just for its direction, its writing, and its acting, its production value. I mean, it’s really amazing. I remember talking to Scorsese on The Departed and saying, “Hey, Marty: Godfather 1, or Godfather 2?” And he instantly said, “Godfather 2.” And I said, “Why?” And he goes, “He had more money.”

That saga -- I love [those movies]," Obama said of Francis Ford Coppola's classics. "I mean there's this combination of old world gentility and ritual, with this savagery underneath. It's all about family. So it's a great movie.

I agree completely. Sequels can be brilliant (GODFATHER 2), but it’s still a sequel, dependent upon the original.

This is the greatest sequel ever made. Interweaving the two Corleone stories created an epic story of a family destined for tragedy. - Theo

“Love the intensity, I love the comedy that’s always exists in a gangster movie, I love the stakes of a gangster movie, and certainly with The Godfather I and II that’s done perfectly,” Wilde notes, with much of this frenetic intensity appearing in her most debut movie, Booksmart.
