Deftly woven action, violence, sentient machines, a heroine and time travel. All stitched together in a tight and scarily plausible storyline. And, when you think about it, a perfect acting vehicle for Arnold Schwarzenegger, as a mostly mute terminator, whom many would rather look at than listen to.

My brother forced me to watch Terminator quite young, so I was a bit traumatised by the apparent ketchup in most of the scenes. I revisited it as I was getting older, and then in preparation for playing Daenerys (in Game Of Thrones), I watched Sarah Connor back, in order to kind of embody some other strong women on screen.

I’d seen the first Terminator something like 20 or 30 times. I just loved movies.

He's a big film buff too, a real cinephile. We were talking about the horror vibe for "In Your Eyes," and we mentioned the nightclub scene, and he asked if I knew the Tech Noir club from Terminator—there's this scene where Arnold Schwarzenegger goes to the club and shoots everybody, and you can see the name of the club in the background. And I said, “Yeah, it's such a sick name for a nightclub.” We kept talking, and as you can see in our video, the club is called After Hours, and it's the exact same font and lightbulb texture as the one from Terminator.

My favorite movie robot of all time? I would probably have to say the Terminator, I guess.
