I really like how this movie satirizes attraction: Bella's infant brain is a metaphor for how society oversexualizes infantilised women. We get to see the stages of rebirth to adulthood through the eyes of Bella Baxter, a hilariously blunt woman brought back to life through unethical means, and who's open to life and new experiences and finds herself and her place in the world despite what polite society thinks. Bella has to reprocess her own ideas of love, sex, shame, gender, intimacy, friendship, adventure, life, and work from her new fresh set of eyes. Her non-conformist ways unsurprisingly rub others the wrong way. The visuals of this film are pure magic! The costumes, the original score, the sets, all spectacular!
