In this video, John Mayer is seen using his Fender Jimi Hendrix Monterey Pop Stratocaster during his sold-out performance "Where the Light Is", live at the Nokia Center in L.A. He replaced the fretboard with a Brazilian rosewood one, and sanded off its neck.
