A few years ago I visited San Quentin Prison and met Aly Tamboura in a program for inmates learning to code. He showed me a data visualization he built and told me he hoped to find an engineering job when he got out. Fastforward to today and Aly is now a technical manager at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative working on criminal justice reform. Aly was recently interviewed by a local news station about his experience. You can check it out!
