Animated series about the adventures of a parrot Kesha, "the hero of our time." The action is concentrated in the city and its surroundings. Kesh lives in the apartment of Vova, a schoolchild, but because of his hot-tempered, arrogant character, he periodically runs away and gets into trouble, eventually returning to Vovka with a confession. The humor of the series is based on the eccentric behavior of Keshi, on recognizable realities, as well as on the multiple quotations used by the parrot.

A Soviet cult cartoon, so untypical for a Western viewer, especially, a little one. A boy named Malysh ("A Little One") suffers from solitude being the youngest of the three children in a Swedish family. The acute sense of solitude makes him desperately want a dog, but before he gets one, he "invents" a friend - the very Karlson who lives upon the roof. So typical for the Russian culture spirit of mischief, which is, actually, never punished, and the notion that relative welfare not necessarily means happiness made the book by Astrid Lindgren and its TV adaptations tremendously popular in the Soviet Union and nowadays Russia and vice versa - somewhat alienated to the Western reader and viewer (see User's comments below). However, both the book and the cartoon are truly universal - entertaining and funny for the children and thought-provoking and somewhat sad for grownups.

With a cheeky, down-to-earth charm that appeals to both children and adults, the series – beginning with 'Vinnie-Pukh (1969)' – has since developed something of a cult following, and are considered by many to decisively surpass their Disney counterparts, however uneasily they may fit into the official canon. The animation itself is somewhat coarse and minimalistic, but this all adds to the charm of it all, with the story and characters coming to life as though they have just stepped out of a picture-book.

The cartoon tells about the adventures of a kitten with the unusual name of Woof and his friend - the puppy of Sharik. Woof constantly gets into ridiculous situations and finds adventures as soon as he leaves the house. He is sure that it is necessary to go to meet the trouble, because the old cat told him: "You are waiting for some troubles!". He also knows how to properly share sausages, why a secret language is needed and why one should be afraid of thunderstorms together with a friend in the attic.

A little hedgehog, on the way to visit his friend the bear, gets lost in thick fog, where horses, dogs and even falling leaves take on a terrifying new aspect...

Підстаркуватий сторожовий Пес став нікому не потрібний, і господарі вигнали його з подвір'я. Поки він поневірявся лісом, то натрапив на свого давнього ворога — Вовка. Хвостаті швиденько зрозуміли, що ділити їм уже нема чого, та розробили ефективний план взаємодопомоги. В результаті — Вовк ситий, а Пес ушанований знову... Мультфільм "Жив-був пес" поставлений за мотивами української народної казки "Сірко". Задля створення цього фільму, Едуард Назаров кілька разів приїздив до України: у музеях вивчав українську історію, фольклор, архітектуру; робив замальовки, щоби правильно відобразити український побут; а в Київському інституті етнографії та фольклору роздобув українські народні пісні "Ой там на горі" та "Косив батько, косив я", які потім спеціально для мультфільма виконав ансамбль "Древо" зі села Крячковка Пирятинського району Полтавської області.
