Что интересно, он поставлен по реальным событиям: прототипом Филиппа является бизнесмен и аристократ Филипп Поццо ди Борго, который остался парализованным после несчастного случая. Он в какой-то момент действительно нанял на работу парня из предместий Абделя Селлу, араба по происхождению, и они в конце концов стали близкими друзьями. Об этой странной дружбе сняли документальный фильм, который в 2004 году увидели режиссеры Оливье Накаш и Эрик Толедано. До того они прочитали книгу Филиппа "Второй шанс", в которой тот рассказал об истории своей жизни. Просто замечательный фильм, я редко получаю подобное удовольствие от просмотра. Обязательно посмотрите, не пропустите!

На мой взгляд, "Три билборда на границе Эббинга, Миссури" - картина почти совершенная. Сценарий, постановка, великолепнейшая актерская игра, прекрасная операторская работа, отличный подбор музыки (МакДона в интервью рассказывал, как он лично получил право от Андерсона и Ульвеуса использовать композицию "АББЫ" в фильме практически бесплатно), атмосфера, непредсказуемость, жизненность, а также очень правильный финал, который не дает и не должен давать ответы на некоторые вопросы. Мне очень понравилось, можно даже сказать, что я в восторге от этой картины.
